The address was written by Scotland’s national bard
Robert Burns. It is popular wherever Scots gather and is
part of the traditional Burns supper.
Before it is served the haggis is piped into the room
carried by the chef. It is then set down on a table and
is addressed. The address extols the virtue of the
Haggis over all other dishes and claims the haggis to be
Chief o’ the Puddin’ race!
