ANDY WOOD – Tribute to Tom Jones
Andy Wood as Tom Jones
 Tom Jones?

“This guy can sing just about anything” ..Stage

ANDY WOOD comes from a background of show business and has worked in and around music for 13yrs, the majority of the time spent writing and recording his own original material with various bands. In 1992 one of his own songs entitled “Stone Cold” performed by his band, Proud, appeared on a compilation album for “Makin Music” magazine.

Around 5yrs ago, Andy decided to pursue a career as a solo artiste and in just a short space of time had gained the respect and belief of some of the country’s leading agents and bookers.

In 1992 whilst working in the USA, Andy was spotted by a representative of Valley Entertainments in Palm Springs and he was so impressed by the versatility and range in Andy’s voice, he immediately offered a residency in one of the area’s top hotels for a season.

On returning to the UK, Andy was invited to appear on Granada Televisions prime-time TV show “Stars in their Eyes” as Michael Bolton performing the Soul Classics “When a Man Loves a Woman”, prompting a quote from the show’s Matthew Kelly “Where on earth does that voice come from? I think he’s even better than Michael Bolton”.

Andy was inundated with letters and fan mail from the official Michael Bolton Fan Club expressing great admiration for his performance. This prompted Andy to take his enormously successful Michael Bolton Tribute Show to major venues across the UK and Europe.

He has gained further recognition for his voice and performance on the Michael Barrymore Show, which led to work offers flooding in for various nights, cabaret shows, cruise lines and show performances.

In July 1996, Andy appeared in South Africa and so successful was his tour, he was immediately booked for a further 5 months stint in 1997. During this year he also performed in Norway, Sweden and Finland.

In such a short space of time in the business, Andy has become a “voice to remember” displaying unique vocal ability and showmanship! He is always a big hit with the female majority of his audience and has proved beyond any doubt that he is at home with the best names in entertainment.

Andy has never been busier, working country wide and abroad with his outstanding tribute to Ricky Martin – Latino Heat and now also features a great Tom Jones tribute show!
