VENUS - A Sublimely Exciting Show

Toni Foster and Alex Just are Venus – a fast moving but tastefully presented melange of vocal and dance numbers featuring numerous costume changes, lead vocals from both girls and excellent harmonies.

With an instinctive feel for light and shade bringing contrasts and subtleties to the show, nevertheless the sheer energy and exuberance of these delightfully friendly girls works its magic on audiences immediately.

Toni has previously worked solo and as lead and backing vocalist with both ‘The Diamond White Band’ and 10-piece extravaganza ‘Dynamo Hum’. Spells leading ‘Elegance’ and then ‘Definitive’ brought Toni’s talents to wider notice where she was spotted by the hugely popular duo ‘Paris’ who quickly snapped her up for their expanded show.

Alex had started on a more ‘formal’ basis, intending originally to cover a wide gamut within showbiz to build on previous dramatic experience by successfully completing a B.Tech National Diploma in the Performing Arts. Armed with this and having discovered that she had an extremely powerful singing voice, she too was asked to join ‘Paris’ and this of course is where Toni and Alex first met and began performing together.

It took little time for the girls – both tall and slim, Alex brunette and Toni blonde – to realise that their individual vocal and dance talents were closely matched, that they “got on like the proverbial house on fire” and that there was real potential for them in forming their own act.

This they did…..Venus was born and in absolutely no time the girls were gathering awards left right and centre and finding themselves very, very busy! More recently they are regularly being offered increasingly prestigious engagements in Clubs, Hotels and theatres and on major corporate functions and events both here and abroad.

Without a shadow of doubt, Venus has a rosy future in store having already proved to be so popular. They are young, fresh, invigorating, talented, always great fun and most of all highly entertaining.

The dynamic duo’s irresistibly infectious show features stunning costumes, a brilliant light show and stylish dance routines. Their musical pot-pourri includes top hit songs from Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Abba, Donna Summer, Cher, Whitney Houston, Robbie Williams, Geri Halliwell, Kylie Minogue and many many more
